It consists of a brass bell and a long striker, which produces a prolonged, clear and loud sound when touched, to effectively signal its presence to others.

The ringing of the dome produces a clear, punchy sound that can be heard from a distance, while the rest of its stainless steel design protects this bell from moisture.
